Twin Cities Photography: Mad Ripple Hootenanny at Lake Harriet 6-12-09

It was our first opp to check this out! My hubby & I got a sitter, and had ourselves a date! Very fun - lots of great talent. So nice to sit outside at Lake Harriet on a spring evening! We got there a little bit late following dinner, but we enjoyed every minute of it. There was quite a crowd - on the benches, on blankets, and at surrounding picnic tables. Passers-by stopped for a visit as well.
Fun to photograph... wanted to play with some fast lenses and the newest camera - but the threat of scattered showers made me think twice - so I brought old equipment. Still turned out pretty well I think -

"Random Random Bo-Ban-dom..."

Maybe it's just me, but I found this funny! :)
Doesn't this just say, "Welcome to Our Home"??

Okay, okay - in their defense - they were moving in, and this was moving out. I just couldn't pass up the unusual photo-op! (Had to be discreet - through the trees - so as to avoid looking like a stalker! Shhhhhhhhhh.) One of these days I need to make a point of introducing myself and the fam.
