Minnesota Fall Leaves Family Photography - by Denise Mack

For a while there, DMP was not offering any non-wedding photo sessions. Recently during the re-design of Denise Mack Photography's services, I decided to re-instate non-wedding mini-sessions on an as-available basis, when requested.

I'm so glad I decided to do so just before Tracey contacted me about a Fall session with her family!

Hands-down, this has been my favorite family to photograph over the years! I love how much they value the uniqueness of my style. Because of this - they are so great about being themselves and really getting into it - truly enjoying each session - which equates to fun, fun, FUN photos! 

I had the opportunity to photograph Tracey and Joel's wedding, and have since been able to enjoy watching their family grow. I'm not sure how I'll be able to top this one in future seasons - as the "pow!" of those MN Fall Colors, and the amazing golden hour of sunlight, all came together to make for something visually delicious! 

I hope they will equate to years of joy for the Fabulous Fussy's!

Minnesota Winter Wedding Reminiscing

With the threat of snow looming over Minnesota already, I'm finding myself dreaming back to a Winter Wedding worth remembering! The care-free couple celebrated their amazing day by hosting their ceremony and reception, surrounded by the rustic charm and vintage elegance of the versatile Outing Lodge at Pine Point, in Stillwater. It's one of my favorite venues, encompassing all of that vintage character, outdoor beauty, fireplaces, and an abundance of little nooks and crannies for photo-opps. The bed & breakfast rooms are an excellent retreat for out of town guests, and provide an ideal sanctuary for those getting-ready-photos. Kristina & Andy also got to take advantage of the holiday decorations adorning the location during their January wedding. They added oodles of their own personalized details, including luminaries to guide guests to the Lodge doors, a cake and centerpieces both speckled with faux 'snow' crystals, and a gorgeous faux fur shawl and gloves. We were able to sneak away with the couple following their first glance at one another that day - to capture some tender moments outside in the fresh snowfall that glistened beneath the low-lying sun. They and their families and friends were so fun to work with, as was the staff at the Outing Lodge. We gathered an array of fun and memorable photos depicting all of the details. Looking forward to more Winter Weddings - as they do have quite a bit to offer when done up right!
